Welcome pole to Lithuania. (Lietuvos Respublika = Republic of Lithuania.) Position: 56° 23' 17"N 22° 23' 19"E. Indirect Lithuanian border marker no 0561 (35,3 m from the boundary line) photographed in direction of Latvia over the border bridge at River Vadakstis/Vadakste. The border treaty states very clear that the boundary runs in the middle of the river, both on and below the bridge.
