Israel - Lebanon

World's most probably heavily guarded border. Note the barbed wire fence. Anyhow the Israeli named one border crossing (at Metullah) «The good fence». Picture taken (from Lebanese side) in 1990.

Israel has since her founding in 1948 for shorter or longer periods occupied parts of all her neighboring countries: Lebanon, Syria,  Palestine [Jordan] and Egypt.

"Fatima gate" between Metullah, Israel and Kfar Kila, Lebanon pictured from Lebanese side. The border passing was closed down after the 2000 liberty in South Lebanon. A huge hill of sand with an observation post is put on Israeli side at this former so busy gate which used to be nicknamed "The Good Fence".  (Photographer of this picture: Lars Sundsfjord.)

Israeli Metullah postcard from the 1980s. The two flags are actually located well inside Israeli side of the border.
