| Finnish – Norwegian border marker 343A

This Finnish-Norwegian border stone number 343A was the first international border marker I ever photographed, around 1985, while I was doing my compulsory military service in East Finnmark. ("Suomi" is the Finnish name of "Finland" in Finnish language.) The marker is a so-called "hearth stone"
located very close to the meeting point of Norwegian road no. 895 and Finnish road no. 970. Craig Rowland visited the same marker in 2000.
