The present Russian boundary marker no. 1987 is located side by side of the Polish boundary marker on the same point it originally was put when the Soviet Union still existed.

The problem now is that this spot is now a part of Lithuania! 

On this photo the Lithuanian border guards are discussing the problem, but decided that they will wait until their Russian colleagues come to take it back to Russia...
