Jan S. Krogh's Geosite: International Bridge over the Guadiana River – Border Markers 1048A - 1048B (ESPT)

The last and southernmost Portuguese - Spanish border markers are two auxiliary markers placed on the International Bridge over the Guadiana River between Alcoutim (PT) and Ayamonte (ES). 

Border Marker no 1048 A

Border Marker no 1048 B

Also marker no 1048, the last and southernmost Portuguese - Spanish marker is of the auxiliary type. It was located on the southern road side of the bridge.
